Another late start. It’s Friday, though, and I’ve put in some long hours this week, so I’m not particularly worried. I do need to re-adjust my sleep schedule again though.

My sleep lack-of-schedule is the bane of my existence. That I’ve been awake on a more or less normal schedule lately has been a minor miracle.

As to the prototype, I’m down to needing to verify and adjust all the part footprints, and then ensure that the certain mounting holes are the correct size and in the correct location. Oddly, the latter is going to be the most difficult part, and could delay the order. Strange, that; you’d think the circuit would be harder to make than the packaging…

Hopefully I’ll be able to place an order today, but we’ll see… That might be asking too much.

Two footprints later… Have I ever mentioned that some datasheets really really suck? And that’s assuming that they’re in English…

If there’s one thing I hate, it’s going back to find something that you saw a weeka go, only to be completely unable to find it. So very annoying…

I think I need a nap.

Okay. I think we’re down to the last bits, most notably the mounting hardware issues. I’m going to have to think about that.

And that nap? Right now it’s sounding really good; I can barely keep my eyes open. Since it’s well beyond lunchtime, I’m going to go take one. Maybe it’ll help.

I’m currently doubting I’ll be able to place the order today; too much need to figure out the mounting issues, and that has to be done before I order.

So yeah, that nap turned out to be about ten minutes. Then I ended up going to Hobby Lobby to pick up some odds and ends for the prototype. Put simply, the more of the pieces I have, the more I can nail down the board design. I have one remaining piece of the puzzle, so I’m going to head over to Home Depot later to see if they have what I need.

I still haven’t managed to eat lunch yet.

It’s going to be a loooooooong day…
